I absolutely love French fries—they’re my go-to comfort food!
What is one of your hidden talents?
One of my hidden talents is dancing. I find joy and expression through movement.

I am inspired by positive feedback and praise. It motivates me to strive for excellence and make a difference.
What makes a ‘good day’ at a childcare centre?
A good day at a childcare centre is when parents appreciate our efforts and the children leave with big smiles, eager to return the next day.
What’s the best/worst thing about being a childcare worker (RECE or Assistant)?
The best part of being a childcare worker is the respect and admiration I receive from the community. The challenges are worth it when I see the positive impact I have on children’s lives.
How do you remember all of the children’s names?
To remember all the children’s names, I use several strategies, such as frequent repetition of their names during conversations and activities. Initially, name tags help me associate names with faces, and I make mental associations with unique characteristics or images related to each child. Learning names in small groups and using a seating chart also aid in memorization. Interactive activities, like name games, reinforce my memory, and personal interactions with each child create stronger connections, making it easier to recall their names.
If you could take the children on a field trip to anywhere in the world, where would you take them?
I would take the children to a world-renowned natural history museum, like the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. This destination offers a rich, immersive experience with exhibits on dinosaurs, ancient civilizations, ecosystems, and much more. It provides a fun and educational environment where children can explore, ask questions, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
