What makes a ‘good day’ at a childcare centre?
A good day is when all the children are safe, happy, and smiling. That’s when I know we’ve done our job well.

What inspires you?
My faith in God and the love I receive from my family and friends keep me grounded and motivated every day.

What’s the best thing about being a childcare worker (RECE or Assistant)?
The best part is that being around children makes you feel forever young, full of love, and surrounded by cuteness!

How do you remember all of the children’s names?
Whenever I go to a new centre, I make a conscious effort to learn each child’s name. I usually remember about 80% — it can be challenging when shifts are short, but I always try my best.

If you could take the children on a field trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I’d take them to a wide-open grassland filled with horses, sheep, and cattle. It would be a safe space for them to run freely, explore, and connect with nature — an experience that could inspire a lifelong appreciation for animals and the outdoors.
