Pink. It’s bright, cheerful, and always lifts my mood.

I love pasta. It’s simple, delicious, and always satisfying.

What is one of your hidden talents?
I’m good at painting. It’s something I truly enjoy and find relaxing.

What makes a ‘good day’ at a childcare centre?
A good day is when children are learning new things and having fun while doing it. Seeing their curiosity and growth makes me feel so happy and proud.

What inspires you?
The engagement and enthusiasm of children inspire me every day. Their energy and excitement motivate me to give my best.

What’s the best/worst thing about being a childcare worker (RECE or Assistant)?
The best thing is the bond we build with children. The trust, love, and connection we share make every day special. Sometimes, it can be challenging, but the joy children bring always outweighs the tough moments.

How do you remember all of the children’s names?
Every classroom has photos of the children with their names. It helps a lot. Over time, as we interact and share experiences, the names become second nature.

What current trends are baffling to you? Why?
It surprises me how many parents give phones to their children at such a young age. Even though they know it’s not healthy, it still happens often. There are so many other fun and beneficial activities children can do instead.

If you could take the children on a field trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would take them to a museum so they could explore history and learn more about their culture in a fun, engaging way.
