Introducing Sentient HR’s Conversion Program 

We know sometimes the right fit comes along and you’d like to bring one of our educators onto your team permanently. Here’s how our conversion program works, including our pricing and the six-month no-fee rule.

Conversion Fees

If you’d like to hire one of our educators directly, a one-time conversion fee applies:

  • Assistants: $1,000

  • Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs): $2,000


150-Hour Minimum Requirement

To ensure fairness, there is a minimum of 150 supply hours before a staff member can be converted.

If the educator has worked fewer than 150 hours through Sentient, the remaining hours are billed at $13/hour.

Example:

  • Doris (Assistant) has worked 15 hours at your centre.

  • Remaining hours: 135 (to reach 150).

  • 135 hours × $13/hour = $1,755

  • Conversion fee (Assistant): $1,000

  • Total cost: $2,755 + HST

Six-Month No-Fee Rule

If an educator has worked at your centre through Sentient for six months or more, there is no placement fee.

Example:

  • Doris started with your centre on August 12, 2025.

  • If you convert her on February 12, 2026, no conversion fee applies.

  • We’ll provide a letter confirming the six-month requirement has been met.
