How long have you worked for Sentient HR?
I’ve been proudly working with Sentient HR for one year.
What is your favourite colour?
Baby pink. It feels soft, calm, and joyful.
What is your favourite food?
Samosas. They’re comforting and always full of flavour.
What is one of your hidden talents?
Singing. It’s something I truly enjoy and helps me unwind.
What makes a ‘good day’ at a childcare centre?
A day with lots of outdoor play where children can explore, move, and express themselves.
What inspires you?
Feeling motivated and seeing progress, whether in myself or in the children I support.
What’s the best and worst thing about being a childcare worker (RECE or Assistant)?
The best part is making a meaningful difference in a child’s day. The most challenging part can be the physical demands.
How do you remember all of the children’s names?
I learn gradually by observing their behaviours, interactions, and unique traits, which helps me connect their names to who they are.
What current trends are baffling to you? Why?
The heavy emphasis on “school readiness” metrics. Early learning should focus more on growth, play, and development rather than strict academic expectations.
If you could take the children on a field trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?
The Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C. It offers such rich learning experiences and unforgettable moments for children.
